India has a new reason to celebrate at the China Masters 2026.After coming agonisingly close twice before, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty finally conquered the Shenzhen court, producing a stunning comeback in the men's doubles final to become China Masters champions. The fourth-seeded Indian pair lost the opening game against China's He Ji Ting and Ren Xiang Yu, but refused to let the final slip away. They fought back to win the second game 21–13 before completing the comeback with a 21–17 victory in the decider.
The final score read 11–21, 21–13, 21–17. For Indian badminton, it was the biggest moment of the tournament.

China Masters 2026 Gives India a Super 750 Champion
The victory adds another important title to Satwik and Chirag's remarkable partnership.
The Indian pair had already won the Singapore Open Super 750 earlier in 2026. Their China Masters triumph gives them another major World Tour title in the same season.
More importantly, it shows that the pair continue to remain capable of winning on the biggest World Tour stages against the world's best doubles teams.
The road to the Shenzhen title was not straightforward. They had to negotiate difficult opposition before reaching the final, including Denmark's experienced Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen in the quarter-finals.
They then overcame Malaysia's Nur Mohd Azriyn Ayub and Tan Wee Kiong in the semi-finals before producing their biggest performance of the week in the final.

Srikanth Leads India's Singles Cha inllenge
Kidambi Srikanth was India's best performer in singles, reaching the quarter-finals. He defeated Canada's Victor Lai in the Round of 16 before losing to Hong Kong's Lee Cheuk Yiu.
It was a valuable run for the experienced Indian at Super 750 level.
Tanvi Sharma Shows Fighting Spirit
Young Tanvi Sharma also gave Indian fans an encouraging performance.

It was a tougher week for Lakshya Sen and Unnati Hooda, both of whom exited in the opening round. Lakshya lost to Canada's Victor Lai, while Unnati went down to Korea's Kim Ga-eun.
